Anybody know any good tricks on how to get more power from a Honda Fatcat? I'm open to any ideas.

have the head professionally ported by a reputable engine shopp, Maybe bore it out a bit, put in a high rev or high torq cam. and a bigger Carb. Gut the tail pipe if all else fails. Or order a two stroke 200 rotax engine for it. That stimulate the old gal for ya. I have a 250r with Missile kit on it. Its scary fast. and super fun.

well there are only 3 things that make a bike run air, gas, and spark. For more air flow just slap a better air filter on there. if you cant find one to fit your air box just use a clamp on filter like this one. Im not sure what electrical mods you can do for it but as far as fuel goes. i would try to get it bored out by someone if you can. big bore kits are definately the best bang for the buck when it comes to gaining power. also many older machines' cylinders were'nt machined well so i would go it (very carefully) with a die grinder and grind off any excess overhanging metal from around ports. of course if you want the absolute best hop up i think if you found a motor out of a newer dirtbike , like a 450 ect, you would be much better off that trying in vain to make the fat cat motor into something its not (a race machine) . It sounds like a pretty sweet conversion to me anyway.
