1983 KLT 250 CDI box

Hello, I am new here and sure this has been discussed. Can you modify a Bayou 220 Cdi box to fit a 1983 KLT 250? Or any other CDI box to fit? The Honda CDI boxes seem cheap and plentiful. Hacking the wiring up is not an issue because my wiring is already destroyed.
