my dads friend had a polaris 250 trail blazer, 2 stroke auto belt driven. I drove this machince and didnt like it at all! I thought it was really top heavy and didnt like the way it handled at all. I would much rather drive my trike then that 4-wheeler and day. do any of you have a trial blazer and do they run the same way?

When I bought my 200x the guy I got it from had a 250 trailblazer as well. He was an old gear head. Tried to get me to buy it for $200. I thought the same thing. Very narrow with a lot of weight up high. I didn't trust it for my wife.

Well I drove it pretty hard for several miles, at the take off it was very quick but when it got going it seemed to be lazy. I thought that it was very top heavy and was very rough to drive. It has a very narrow front end, but it has 2 huge shocks I thought it would handle the bumps well but I was disapointed. when I got back the guy was like how did you like it? and I was it it was ok, didnt want to be to rude. So then me and my dad went for a drive, he had the 200 and I had my 225dr he had it maxed out to the bar and it said he was going 85kmh, It was auto, I passed him in 4th gear on my 225 so... there not what they are cracked up to be, but on another note its older brother the 400 or 500 scramber is a real nice machine.

Those belt driven engines require a lot of tuning to get them to have good power down low and still have gearing. My son's old belt driven race mini ATV took about $500 in parts to finally dial it in.
Plus the belt driven bikes require lots of maintenance on them. I got a Kymco 150 that had one of those CVt engines in it.. I pulled that out and going with a ATC 200s engine in it. It won't help being top heavy but it will work for my wife. Most people that have these ATV's wouldn't really know the difference though unless they had a bike to compare it to.

Well after all the atc, and atvs I have driven I can notice the diferance. And For a young feller like me I think half of the enjoyment of riding is shifting, if there is no shifting it isnt much fun for me. I just done like auto, cvt transmissions. The only bike I would get would be a cvt transmission would be a kfx-700.

i looked into a trail blazer for my g/f cuz he liked the 500 scrambler she use to ride, but they were heavy and underpowered from almost everyone i talked to. we went with a 300ex then.

man @ oldskool83 I have driven both machines and I am very honest in saying that a 500 scrambler has way more power than a 300ex. Man the scrambler is auto yes and it is a 4 stroke. But the new scramblers are nice! They are four stroke and are way better than the old ones used to be. I have driven my cuzs 300ex almost to death. Although not very powerfull they are one of the most toughest mahinces they are. He has hitten trees, a couple cars, got chased by a bear and the bear hit the back of the fender and there is claw marks on it. Lets just say them 300ex's there tough. The other night he blew the crank and the piston now its ceased. He is going to rebuild it though he said, thats how much he liked it.

Yeah man they work real good and like I said are real tough, I am so glad you saved you are your wife the hassel of buying a blasturd they are junk... I have been working and fixing bikes for awhile now and then and they are pretty junky, they always are breaking down and need maintence steady. Your wife would be pissed off cause you would get out 2 miles in the woods and it would blow up and there you would be. they need maintence just like a sled, drive it and then when you get it home tear it down and check for wear and tear, who the hell wants to do that everytime they get back from wheelin, I no I dont.
