Just ordered one from dennis kirk. Size 23-8-12. It is a bias-ply rated at 2-ply. Hopefully I dont get too many flats. Does anyone know what the ply rating of an original front Dunlop is off of an 86 Tri-Z?

you can purchase the same tire in a radial for about $30 more.they are oem front tires off the new yamaha wolverines. its a GREAT tire. I run the radial on my current set-up. I think its the best 23 inch Z tire available. The radials are called Maxxis Lynx, but it is still the M937 tread

Is the radial a 2-ply also? Whats the advantage of the radial?

well, I have noticed that with a radial tire the entire tread contact area holds its shape better than a bias tire. basically, with a bias tire, when you turn into a corner, the tire rolls... so your relying on the side lugs of the tire do the turning, and leaving the sidewall of the tire open for punctures (because the tire has "rolled"). with this radial tire, when you turn into a corner, the sidewalls will flex side to side, but the tread patch stays flat on the ground,so your always using ALL the tire has to offer.IT WORKS AMAZING!!! I've got 2 seasons of trail riding on my current Lynx, AND it's the SAME tire that I had studded at Icefest,i just took all the screws back out to trail ride. Tire still looks new. You can't hardly tell i put 300 ice screws in it! I have one on both my Z's, and a spare for good measure.
