This has been one of those jobs i thought would never leave my shop , What you see here is pretty close to impossible to pull off again , A good customer i have loves big reds just the 250es lineup and he over the past 4-5 years has been stock piling nos parts that filled my enclosed trailer I mean everything you can imagine times 3 , his goal was to have me restore the 85-86-and 87 250es to as close as you can get to brand new for his collection . well here they are 1 1/2 years after i started the first one . I am delivering them thursday cant wait to see his reaction , enjoy the pics

Very nice Mike. (As always)... I keep trying to hear when the local Sheriffs are going to auction off their Big Reds. They were donated by HONDA at the end of the line in 87 and they only use them for the county fair etc. One of these days I want to do a similar thing on a 350X. I got about 85% of a 350X in NOS parts in the attic.

Man they are so awesome! If you should them you could sell them for like 1200 for one you could make some mad money. They are awesome, I got a new desktop background page.

thanks guys , alot of work sitting there ,
what did that guy say 1200 each might want to add a 0 and you will still be low , this stuff doesnt come cheap you would die if you saw the nos parts list on these 3 , Im taling everything forks, wheels, fenders, cables, seats , engines, mufflers, switches, bars, every little rubber bushing and rubber part. lights , racks , you name it its nos and multiply this by 3 they all got the mega nos treatment ,

Unbeleivable! Mike, you guys are number one when it comes to restos and they look like they just rolled off the assembly line. It is sad that key parts like tires and plastics are becoming extinct, I only hope they can be reproduced someday soon. Keep up the good work!

just wanted to verify for my own knowledge. The 85 did not say honda on the back of the black seat from the factory, and i thought the later models ran a different style headpipe gaurd??

to answer a few ???
aldochina your right the 85 from the factory did not say honda on the back but this is an NOS seat from honda and honda did things like this on there replacement parts i wasnt about to go and recover a nos black seat and the 86-87 did have an extra front headpipe curved gaurd this is on our list of things still needed to be found nos and can be mounted at a later date .
to answer the price tag alot!!!!
they are staying in the US Georgia to be exact

as always i am blown away. these look amazing so clean so nice... i REALLY can not wait to bite into my 250es and get this resto started. if you have any spare pats or know where to get good aftermarket or oems for it not too exspensive let me know because i am going to be searching. one thing ive found impossible to find are brand me rear flaps (black plastic below taillights). i would kill to have my 250 look like one of those i cant wait! great pics thanks for sharing.

the words "MINT" AND " RESTORED" are both used way to offen when advertising trikes .For the record this is what RESTORED means!! They accually are not "MINT" because that means "UNTOUCHED" These bikes have definatly been touched . To me these bikes are "RESTORED TO SHOWROOM CONDITION" BIKES " Mike the bikes look outstanding and your work is second to none!

I know it was said many times, but I'll say it again. Showroom quality, put em in a crate and no one would ever know. By the way you need to add an 88 BR to make it a true 250es line up. LOL jk.

They look great! I recently bought a very low hour 86 Big Red 250, I only ride it around the yard on occasion. When the seller loaded it to meet me he cracked one of the little black mud flaps under the tail light. It's not bad, only a inch or so but I would love to get a new one, anyone know where and how much??? Below is the photo before delivery, both flaps are nice. I need the drivers side now. still has the factory tires with good tread! Appreciate any leads on these flaps, someone else above asked also. Again, excellent work, the owner should be quite pleased! Thanks for sharing the photos!!!
