Regular motor oil. Like 10w30. Just make sure not to use full synthetic, as some claim it makes the clutch slip.

Mix is 32:1
Transmission oil Should be Honda 85W90W transmission oil for 2 strokes. It will make your clutch feel brand new. Most of the motor oils you see on the shelf at auto stores or wal mart will make your clutch slip to some degree. Some can feel it slip , most people can't, it's your choice, but Honda Red bottle or Yamalube designed for " wet" clutches are the only way to go, with the Honda being the best choice!

The best way to go is Motul Transoil Technosynthese 10w40,especially made for 2 stroke transmission, will last a lot longer than any other

My son has had his worn out 80' yt for 4 years. We ran lucas heavy duty stabilizer in bottem end & he has rode the s#$!t out of it, and learned to shift, bottem end still good. Tried mixing with honda/yamaha oil and it started pinging, so back to strait lucas. Still works o.k. in cold weather, but have to give it time to warm up.

Yamalube trans oil plus is availiable at any Yamaha dealer. Designed for use in 2stroke wet clutch apps. Honda oil is better than Yamalube? Ummm, ok.

Mix 32:1 with a good 2-stoke oil. I believe all the 125's call for 32:1

the mix will usually be 32:1 but you could change it to 40:1 or so if its running rich. as far as the tranny oil goes just stay away from synthetic stuff. any 85w or 90w should be good. it doesn't have to be the Honda brand or Yamalube but both of those may be the easiest to find.

well i had a slight problem with it last night..... it trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro leaned out and melted the piston and siezed up the crank. Im going to split the cases tonight and see what happened to the crank.:(as for all the other information thank you ill put in whichever of those is the cheapest. Oh by the way i had about 32:1 or 40:1 in it.
