Does it use a standard drive chain or an o-ring chain?

you can use either one. what matters is if it is the proper size (520). however, i would NOT recommend using a non-o-ring chain on a machine with any kind of power. it just wont last. i put a non-o-ring chain on my boys ATC110 and on that it does just fine..but on a 250r...no way would i waste my money. o-ring all the way, and heavy duty too......more $$$ intitally, but much longer life. some may disagree, but thats my $0.02
