Can anyone tell me the overall length of the 1985 250es driveshaft? (from the front of the universal joint to the end of the splined hollow bit)
Also do the splines on the output case of the 200es fit the 250es (will i be able to use the 250es driveshaft on the 200 motor), I know it is too long aswell ;)

The 200es and the 250es & sx style are different completely. The 250es / sx internal splines are bigger than the 200es.

I do have some news that might help. The 200es drive shaft has a universal joint and you should be able to use it. Here is a picture of it below.

it is 11 3/8th. inch long. i have one for a spare i measured
( 85es 250 bigred)

Hmmmmmmmmm, thanks Howdy, I did know that the 200es had a universal joint but the problem with my plans is that i need an extended driveshaft! Dammit another problem! I was hoping i could use the 250 one instead of getting one made! (extra money). Do you think it would even be possible to have a drive shaft made (using the 200es joint and pre-existing driveshaft) Or is there another model driveshaft that will fit the 200es that is longer?

They seem real do-able. I have a 200es drive shaft here. How much longer do you need it? I can look and see what it would take to make or extend one. ;)
