i reassembled my headlight assembly today ( zip tie stiches and plastic epoxy ) and want to put it back on. the service manual says 12V 60/55W bulb
all i could find was 12.8V 55/60W is this ok to use ? do the numbers being switched have significance.
ill admit i am afraid something will short out and kill my beloved trike is that possible or am i just paranoid ?

one time i tried putting in a new regulator and headlights on my 350x. fried my cdi and $60 later i decided that having lights is not worth the risk to me

It will be just fine... Typically it will have a range of acceptable voltages... Probably somewhere from 10.5 to 14 volts (#'s shot from the hip)

not that i doubt you at all Thorpe , you have been a big help so far ( thanks ) but how do i know for sure before i connect it all.

On my BR I bumped up the stock 35 watt headlight to a 55/65 car halogen... Way more light, been going strong for over a year now...
