so I've been battling the carb on this machine for a few days; got a good idle now, and revs nicely in neutral but bogs under a load so i guess i need a richer mixture. Either way its raining and I'm in for the day. Just wondering if anybody out there has a digital copy of the manual for this bike? I looked through the manual section but didn't see it. Did any other years run the same carb? I just need to ensure that my settings are proper and that everything else is the way it ought to be.

drop your needle down 1 notch (so it will sit lower in the carb)

well the carb still isn't dialed in and it started raining again so i guess we wait. what would be the effect of having a plugged up exhaust system? and also is it possible for the springs on the throttle to get all mashed up in there and cause some sort of problem?

a plugged exhaust could cause it to appear to idle rich. take it off and make sure its clear and then go from there
