I had someone on here interested in purchasing my 350x. we communicated its a decent rider not factory clean but certainly not beat down either. I told him 1700 was my asking he informed me i wanted too much but he was still interested. I sent some pics and I told him Im open to cash offers since we are close. he e-mailed back and said the bike was worth less because it had an electric starter??? it dose not, I told him it had the factory kick start and feel free to make an offer...... then nothing he fades away?
Not posting his name cause he may be serious just got confused, happens to everyone. but I think I just got toyed with for a week by someones kid with big plans, anyway 1700 obo seems fair for a starting point on a decent 350... right? Id rather keep it than give it away its awesome just broke!

I would too.. You could always pull the kit off and sell it to offset the cost of the trike.

The point is the damn thing doesnt have a electric start. There is no picture of a electric starter and has never been one.... I dont get it. Thats what made me think I was dealing with someones kid. You never know, I checked my email right after posting this and he did email an offer it was just too far from where i wanna be. So its in the for sale section (with the same pics i sent him no elec starter) and i gotta admit theres a side of me that hopes it doesnt go it runs awesome and i'll have a hard time replacing it when i get more $ and put some of my drama behind me.

Upon looking at your pictures it did at one time have an electric starter on it. It has the electric start stator cover on it. The starter itself has been removed, and a cap of sorts has been bolted over the hole where the starter goes.

Mr dcree is correct.
Someone at one time either had what was probably a Goki starter on there or they just used the goki cover for some reason. But the pic would lead anyone familar with the aftermarket starter setup that your bike at onetime or another had an electric albeit aftermarket starter. The proof is in your picture.

Yes they do, it's made by Goki. If you look at the left side of the 350X in question you will see a flat spot on the top of the Goki stator cover. The flat spot with the 2 bolts is where the starter itself bolts to the stator cover. You'll have to pull the stator cover to see if it has oem guts or the Goki stator with the toothed ring pressed on it. If you wanted to put it back to oem that is. Or contact Goki for the parts you need to put the electric start back on it.

Interesting, this is a cool trike but Ive always been a street bike guy and my knowledge is limited when i did ride dirt years ago i rode a Cr so im out of my element..... Wish it was still on there lol.

Here is a pic of my 200x with the Goki on it. They both use the same idea as to where the starters are located.

Wouldn't be too hard to track down the parts to make the starter functional. Goki may even still sell them.
You should look to see if someone had a battery box hooked up somewhere and any "extra" wiring. Looks like recent bars put on. Did the old one have some type of push buttom for the starter? Although prolly not gonna be high on the priority list if you're looking to sell it anyway. Just a thought...

Yeah the guy that had it before me replaced alot of things, the bars, tank, and rear parking brake block off to name a few. there doesnt appear to be any extra wiring and if i keep it (no problem there) i wouldnt put and electric starter on, it would be cool but i dont mind kickin it. Compared to my yz426 with a high comp piston i can kick it all day without a gripe. plus the way the starter is pokin out there kinda looks funny in my opinion. the added weight of a battery and starter not to mention the $ that i dont have lol.
Thanks for the info fellas as always I apprieciate ya.

Sounds like you were simply courteously discussing the sale price with him, and had no obligation to him, nor he to you. Doesn't sound like he was willing to pay what you were asking, nor you to come down to what he wanted to pay. Plenty of fish in the ocean. The bike looks good, and hopefully you will find someone who sees eye to eye with you on what its worth. Don't beat yourself up over it. Not everyone says a kind good bye when they communicate over the net.
