Honda ATC185 Pullstart And Front End Interchangability / Swap Quick Question

Hey everyone!! I would like to know what model of atc's pullstart will fit on my 1983 atc 185..... I'm asking this, because mine doesn't have one.... Also I'm pretty sure that any model front end will fit on my atc185, as long that it's 185cc and more.... Please help me!!! Thanks!!!:w00t:

From what I know, if wrong hopefully I will be corrected:

185 plain model
200 plain model
185s model
200S model
200M model - pull start MAY be different
Possibly 200e/200es front end, pullstart on this may be different.

All those front ends should fit, MAYBE the 250ES will. I believe the 250R, 350X, 200x are all smaller necked frames.

No problem, only difference there MAY be in pullstarts is one setup used a plastic pulley with one 'ratchet dog' as opposed to the rest using 3 and being all metal. But that may be only on the 200e, and I've only seen pictures/never in person, so I may be wrong.

Most common choices for front end is a 200s or late model 185s with suspension.

Will it make a difference if I use a plastic or metal pullstart??? Or is it more a durability issue? Because on mine at the moment, I can see the flywheel with a metal pulley bolted on.... Does this mean I need a 3 ''dog'' pullstart?

I've only seen pictures of those, I had one that was like that but it was for a 125m or TRX or something?? I cannot answer with 100% certainty, but I've only used the metal ones with 3 ratchet dogs. That's the one that should be on yours, but the other one may potentially fit.
