Trusted friend swears the front u joint is making noise,
but
especially on left turns? nothing when turning right, however.
like a bolt coming loose.

wonder if they even Have bolts holding them or why a u joint would make noise on turns?
all they do is move up and down slightly, right?

also states that the swing arm bushings are not sloppy., wheelhubs, splines and
etc are all tight.

It's coming over tomorrow.

What should I be ready for?

kinda came on over the course of 1/2 hr ride.

whats the worst to look out for changing u joints

thanks

you will get a simular noise if the diff becomes loose from the swingarm where it bolts to the shaft housing,

My left bearing wasn't fully seated and the u-joint was smacking the housing... try snugging up the pivot bolt... mine make a loud "snap" when it fully seated and the noise was gone.

Thanks everyone.

What you say makes perfect sense, and certainly more sense than a u joint going bad.

I'll confirm what we find as soon as it gets here.

Happy trails

If i remember correctly, those u-joints are non replaceable too. You need a BIG allen to tighten the pivot area up.

17mm nuts(I used 350x lug nuts) double nutted on a bolt works great
