im looking at buying a 250sx theres one for sale around here that needs a the kicker gears replaced i think.are they hard to replace and are they hard to get?thanks for any help.

I have the same problem... everyone tells me to just use the electric start

only problem with that is the electric start gears on this was are missing.

you can buy the gears for 50 bucks i think and there not hard to replace

id buy the gears, get a manual and replace them.

well its sold now, theres hardly any trikes around here these days.im trying to find a 350x close by.

im gonna look around here before i start looking in the states considering the closest border is like 3-4 hours away to maine.

I had the kicked on my 250sx not working, it was easy to replace, just irritating to put back in because of the way you need to hook it into a slot. as for the electric, that was much faster and easier to get working, as honda250sx said...its like $50, easy !
can I just say I love 250sx ! I have never gone 2 stroke, but maybe someday ill try an R or just get to ride one.

The gears don't usually gho bad. It's the one way bearing in the centifugal clutch gthat goes bad and when REAL bad, the collar/hub under it also has to be replaced.
