As much as I love Honda, this design really sucks... it's all behind the flywheel on a 70... my 90 is so easy to set! Is there an easy way to set the points/timing on a 70? I tried what the manual said, set the points, then used a test light for the timing, but that didn't cut it... anyone?

The test light method always worked fine for me, but you can get them close by rotating the flywheel to the max opening of the points, and setting them at the specified airgap with a feeler gauge.
I believe I set them at .017"-.020"

I set the point gap, but how do you set the timing? I did my 90 with no problems, this 70 is really hard to see in there...

Anyone else? I need a starting point, no puns intended... it won't run at all right now :(
