i tried to put an xr200 cam in my bike and the bearing that the cam rides in doesnt fit the xr cam. do i need that bearing out of the xr for it to work or is there something wrong that it doesnt fit. and when i say th bearing i mean the piece that has the little pin that sits in the head.

xr200 and 200x use the same "bearing" like you said. maybe you have a aftermarket cam??

Is it a roller bearing?

Are you trying to install the cam with the rocker cover on?
Sometimes the rockers interfere with the lobes. Loosen off the rockers and have another go.

^ Spot on, take the caps off and push the rockers down so the portion contacting the valve stems doesn't bind.
That is the OEM correct bushing.

my xr200r cam, 200x cam and 185 and xl200r all fit in the same bearing your talking about. part number its all the same for them too. i wonder if you didnt already have someone monkey with cams or swap bearings. i got an extra bearing with that pin
