I've got a 1985 honda 200s&when I go to pull start it gas spits ouy where the air filter goes.&the spark plug will need cleaned. There was fuel leaking out of the bottom of the carb I think its the overflow,I tightened the screw that stopped that. And the screw on the side with the spring is allmost all the way screwed in&the brass one on the Bottom is about 3/4 all the way turned in.Now I can't get it to start.Id love any help.Im new to all of this thanx guys!

you might have a bad float in your carb, is it all original?

the screw on the bottom of the carb , also try raising the clip on the needle . this will lower the needle position allowing less fuel to enter your carb ? i am not 100% and may be way off , its just where i would start.

Look at float needle tip closely and see if worn or damaged. Fine red rust oxide flowing from fuel tank (clean tank.... clean & clean) causes many float needle/seats from sealing properly. Those sintered brass/bronze cone shaped filters, cheapies, WON"T stop these small particles. Need nylon filter. Next biggie is jet needle and needle jet (the jet needle hangs down from slide and its orifice, needle jet, which you can just see down carb bore, comes out thru float bowl only) replace as a set. Most all Honda single cyl 185/200 will need a set eventually. Runs rich just off idle to 1/2~2/3 throttle then semi starts to run good above that is failure/worn out diagnosis. Changed dozens of these.
