250sx starts idling high after 5 mins.

When i turn on my 250sx it idles fine for about 5 minutes, but after that it just starts to idle really high, as if i was holding down the throttle. Anyone have this problem before or know what the problem might be?

Did you try adjusting your carb once it was warm not cold?

Got the inverted problem.
Idles fine when cold but once it warmes up it starts to idle really, low almost cutting down.
In my case, I think my choke cable is the problem but I couldnt say over yours.

Check the tightness of your choke cable, and the routing.... Same for the throttle cable, and make sure its not adjusted too tight...

I did check all the routing from my cables. Everything seems alright.
Indeed, the choke plunger spring might be a little weak which wouldnt allow the plunger to close completly.
That's my 2 cents.

maby a air leak by the carb once the motor heats up stuff expands just a other thing you can knock off the problem list .
