Just as the title states. Did Honda ever make a 250 four stroke engine for an ATV or ATC ?
I some sort of 250 four stroke engine coming next week from my father's friend. I was told it came from an ATC.. but I am not even sure what it could be.

Any info would be great.

None in an ATC. Possibly the TRX 250X

As stated above, no, never in a 3 wheeler. The XR250 or the 250X are the only ones that come to mind. However, the 250X engine is a direct bolt in to the 350X chassis.

Isn't there a 250sx? I thought for sure there was. Oh yeah, the sx was shaft drive. Doh!

I am pretty sure the 250sx was shaft driven..

I am supposed to pick up the engine on Monday.. It's free so I didn't want to pester him with too questions.
Its from a 65 year old farmer who rides a 250r.

I can't think of any 250 4-stroke chain driven quads or trikes besides the 87-92 TRX250x, the predecessor to the 300ex
