I just picked up a 85 250sx. Key switch was hacked up , and is still unplugged. Neutral /rev switch was unhooked so I cleaned connections and plugged back in.. Has good spark now. .put some oil in cyl to help with comp since this trike has been sitting for a couple years.Tried several plugs. checked timing and adj valves. Kicks over with decent compression but won't even attempt to start . sprayed gas in carb and even putting a little down plug hole. nothing. .Elect start has been unhooked and no starter solenoid. any ideas Usually these honda's will start if you have good spark and good fuel. Help

To bypass your key switch, unplug it & jump out the red & black terminals.

Sometimes switches just ground things when "off" - Just like your On/Off handlebar switch.......

If you have fuel/compression and spark at the right time - it should do something!

If it's sat that long, I'd take all the jets out, remove the mouse from the airbox and clean the carb, get a new air filter. Oh, and unless your tank is plastic, run an inline fuel filter and fresh gas.....

try hooking up all the wires and pull the big black one, this works with hot wiring a 250 bigred so it should work with the sx
