Has anyone made a 350X with reverse?
I was thinking of using the full 350X top end if the stroke is the same/wrist pin location matches. Or swap the crank/rod from the 350x into a 250x bottom end.
Or just use the tranny from the 250x and put it into the 350x cases.
Haven't torn apart either engine, but would love to do this.

alot of people have bolted a 300ex motor into a 350x... 5 speeds, plus reverse and electric start

Anyone ever hear of the TC racing 6 speed 250x motor? It was basicly a 350x tranny installed into 250x cases.
I don't see why you couldn't do the opposit but you will lose 6th. There is some machining involved but it's not so bad.

Seems like a hopped up 300EX would be the easiest to do.......
Reverse and ES would be sweet. I'd hate the 10 lbs a batter and starter would add though :(

Never heard of one I'm pretty sure the 250sx is a shaft drive so I don't know how that setup would work out

Who said "SX", I think they were referring to the 250X.....

Yep, just picked up a 250x and 350x engine, not sure why the 250 was apart, but the 350 supposedly dropped a valve and hit piston? Will need to disassemble to check.
But I am picking up a 300ex engine to use for parts for my 300 Big Red gear reduction, maybe will get the extra bottom end. Maybe I can just use that

The 300EX swap is very easy. The engine pretty much drops in, the only thing you really have to do is weld a battery cage to the frame. I dropped a 250X engine in my old 350X and it so simple you can almost do it in your sleep.
