Cool stuff .
The last motor I built with a 61.5mm stroker really suprised me how torky they are .
Vealmonkey
06-18-2010, 06:10 AM
Well, the stroker cranks aren't worth much unless you either have stroker rods or you have spacer plates. I've also seen timing chains that were too tight when running the stroker plates, so you have to be aware of what you are doing.

That piston kit has been for sale for a while now so dont get your hopes up . A realistic price on that should be around 65-75 bucks . Check and see if the kits have a 1 piece or 3 piece oil rings and what sizes they are 53-56mm .

ok here are a couple of pictures.. i think there are enough cranks for everyone that wants one ,, and the cam in the box,, there is 30 of those.. the h&s cams are the only and are already spoken for. i did find enough parts today to build me a stroker big bore motor,, so i was happy.. So i know what i have to pay for the cranks. i know they are old school. and i am not trying to get rich.. SO some of you guys that want one,,, PM me with what you think they are worth to you ,, and we will see if i can buy all of them at a lower price . there are 58 mm and 61.5 also cam chains in 86 and 88 links.. also can these cranks be used in a 125 m motor?

These strokers are most likely for the points models and not cdi . Easy way to check it , points takes a bolt to hold the flywheel and the CDI uses a nut .
I dont think you could put one in a 125m for this reason also .
Any of those S&W valve springs gonna be for sale ?

The 125M crank is different on the flywheel side in length and diameter (I am talking about the crank LOL).There is rod length issues as well.

OK. I WENT OUT ON A LIMB HERE.. i made them an offer on all the cranks and cams.. they took it. so here is the scoop . the 58mm crank has a 14 mm wrist pin, the 61.5 has a 15 mm pin,, i will start fresh with PM'S so far no pistons .. i have 2 52mm pistons that fit the 14 mm wrist pins it says 90cc big bore on the box.. so what is 90 stock mm?

If you get one of the 61.5 strokers don't expect a high rpm motor it will be a all tork and sound more like a 200x than a atc110 .

Pistons need rings.....I've also been doing some digging to see what I can get with 15mm wrist pin. I'm not sure on availability now though. I do have a nice Pauter Big Bore stroker cylinder coming though. I have a real nice bearing camshaft. See any Heavy Duty oil pumps? I sure could use one. Hint Hint. I've got my oil cooler all ready to mount up if I decide to run gas. I've got an old mind blower of an alcohol carb too. An old flatslide, and I do mean flatslide.

Top and bottom end need machine work for that cylinder to be installed and no head gasket is used , you lap it in just like doing valves and if your using it on one of the 61.5 strokers you have , you will need a spacer under that cylinder for that long stroke .
The strokers you have wont work with a ct/sl/cl kick start bottom end their a few mm's shorter on the flywheel side . You have to use a atc bottom end and convert it to manual clutch set up .
I have a few NOS sl90 manual clutch covers left if you want to do some trading :beer.

Sorry to here that !
I just didnt want to see you waste your time and money and realize it wouldnt work .
I'm sure a kicker could be installed in a atc bottom end with some head scratching and sl manual cover but you would still have to keep the pull starter set up to use one of those stroker cranks .
Most people dont realize most trail 90 motors have and extra motor mount hole in the center cases and wont even bolt up in a atc frame .

ok so heres my question theres not alot of them h&s cyc around so is there a way to take a stock 90 or 110 cyc and bore it and put a sleve in it and run a cb750 piston whish is 61 mm from what I hear, I know shortline your not into jerry rigin stuff but that would bring some more people into building a 90/110 motor maybe maybe not but just a question
greenhuman
07-05-2010, 10:03 AM
It can be done but there are a few issues such as cooling and getting someone willing to machine it all up and doing it properly.
The aftermarket cylinders are aluminium with far better heat dispertion and are designed specifically for this big bore purpose. Plus the sleeves in the aftermaket cylinders are thicker = longer life.
