So I down load the factory service manual so I can see how the u joint disconnects from the engine so I can pull the engine out of the chassis,so far so good right? WRONG when I get to the section that should show the removal of the drive shaft the manual shows a chain drive machine!!! The rest of the manual is for shaft drive but this part is chain they even show the rear end as chain drive DOH!! Now I know some things may get lost in translation but this is a bit much.
I think I have figured it out from the rest of the manual that the u joint is just a slip fit but if anyone knows for sure that would be great to here.
Thanks

I just checked, and you're right! That's very odd!

I believe 84 200es was chain drive in other parts of the world. Maybe that had something to do with the mix-up?

It is a slip fit I just took mine out, it slides on and off real easy.

the older models were chain drive,i have an 84 and i believe it was the first year for shaft drive.
