Well lucky me all the pivot bearings and seals are perfect and all the bolts slid right out. So that part is great. But of course because it sat soooo long the rear shock rubber bump stop disintegrated when I attempted to clean it. So now there is nothing to cushion it upon bottoming and worse the ring it sits in will be flopping all around and will ruin the chrome shaft and make incestous noises!!! So let me guess, a total shock rebuild is now necessary - correct?? No other fix I'm sure? The shaft is not rusty at all or bent but it will need disassembley and new oil, nitrogen seals and the bump stop. Must run another couple hundred? Oh boy is this toy fun - I'm now approaching 2500$.

Thanks fo the help!! The shock is perfect. I may just buy a new bump stop, slice it on one side and get it on there somehow for now.

I don't like to "rig" stuff but this shock is great!!! AAARRGGGHHHHH!! Maybe I'll call around.
My down the street neighbor wrenches for the VERACKA kids who are trying there best at 125 nationals, I catch them on TV but they aren't no BUBBA!!. I always go to Southwick to watch them - good neighbor to have but I don't want to bug him. Off subject now but OH MAN the motors he gets for the KX125's are built by Mitch Payton at Pro Circuit and they CRANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
