Tri Moto 125 questions...

84 2 stroke yamaha tri moto 125...Ok so the other day this thing was running just fine and hauling trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro when I rode it...Hasn't been starting good...there is gas getting thru the carb and into the air box and running out of the hoses coming out of the carb. bowl when it's running or not...what's wrong with this thing? I pulled the carb apart tonight and made sure all the passageways were open and everything was...What are the screws on this carb. for adjustment? There is a large one that has finger grips on it and a spring and there is a small one that you just use a straight screw driver to adjust and it's closer to the airbox...Can't find any info. on this thing and am gettin' real frustrated with it...We pull started it tonight and it was VERY doggy...if I took the top off the air box, it had a little more but still not like it was the other day (it was very snappy)...Suggestions? Thanks guys!

Fresh spark pug. The larger one is idle speed. Smaller is air/fuel mixture ratio. I could e-mail you the service data but I don't have it on a website.

Sounds like the needle is not seating or the float needs to be adjusted.

The smaller screw is initially set to 1 - 1/2 turns out.

Thanks guys...I haven't messed with those settings but I may turn it in and back out 1 1/2 just to see what happens and throw a new plug in it...was smoking alot lastnight...when it ran good a week ago, there wasn't much smoke at all...I'll give the new plug a shot and see what happens...I did pull it out and check and was getting good spark tho...Guess that's the game when I buy old toys, tinker, tinker, tinker, lol...I'll let you know what I find out...200xMichigan, my email is rjsyota@yahoo.com if you wanna send me that info and it would be greatly appreciated! Look in MonroeMike's sig, all the info you need is there. Is the oil injection still there or is it blocked off?

It's blocked off...was running just fine afew days ago...just went out and replaced the plug, no go but does have spark...pulled the mixture screw out and cleaned it (was pretty clean anyhow) and screwed it back in until it lightly seated, then 1 1/2 turns out...nothing...i'm confused...how do you adjust the float?

Ok from reading other posts on here, I made sure the float was set and it was...I moved the clip on the throttle needle clear to the bottom and nothing...then moved it clear to the top and nothing...still good spark...gas is still running onto the ground from the airbox end of the carb. when the fuel is turned on, while it's not even running...everything in the carb. looks good and clean and new...what's next guys? Thanks!
