I know the 87s are rare but I am trying to get numbers on how many were made and sold in the US. Any suggestions????

If I had to guess I would bet it's still that way today. It's easier to justify buying when you can consider a new toy to also be a tool, and many riders love having 4x4. It would be interesting to see how the 400ex/450R sell compared to the Rancher/Foreman.

Rob I guess I own the Rerest, only 3571 1987 200X's made and here is mine. I have the original titile , all the papers from the dealership with the showroom dealer tag from the original owner! very rare paper work indeed. More pictures in my profile.

Wow! I had no idea the 87 big reds were so rare! I feel like I really lucked out! I too would like to know about the 86 350x, that's what I'm looking for now!

by the stats alone and just guessing that in 86 they sold around the same amount of 350X's they could have been the biggest money maker for honda.. holy crap, they sold almost as many 350x's in the first year as 1st and 2nd gen R's
