85' 200x, How do you compress the rear brake piston to fit new pads? Left manuel at buddy's to use & I don't want to damage anything by doing the wrong thing- thanks fellas.

You will need to remove reservoir cap to remove some brake fluid. Remove the brake caliper. pull out the old pads, use a C-clamp or something similar to push the piston back in. Be careful not to let the reservoir overflow as the fluid level will rise as you push the piston back in. Install new pads, install brake caliper, check fluid level, add if necessary...& BAM you are done.

do this get a flat head screw driver and push it in that what i do.

Loosen the bleeder, use vise grips or c-clamp to push in. Tighten bleeder back up. Then just bleed them after you get it all together. This is the way to do it on vehicles too.

Thanks guys, I like havin' several methods, now I have to get the carrier bolt out to change the chain tensioners?, seems to be stuck and yesterday on the 84' it came out simple as pie, huh?
