1985 250r Transmission Oil

I wanted to change the transmission oil in my 1985 Honda 250r.
I don't have the manual in front of me, but I think it calls for 10w40.


What brand does everyone use?
What weight?
Synthetic or non?
What API rating?

i use Valvoline ATV 10w-40. make sure it says its good for wet clutches on the bottle. nowadays, regular automotive oil isnt designed for use with wet clutches and can shorten clutch life if its used....
