SW Missouri Ride

Would anyone be interested in a ride down at Chadwick in late July/early August? Right now, I think August 7-8 would be the best time. Any other thoughts?

Well, here's a little map for those of you who are interested.

It's about 30 minutes from Springfield. They have a few rules, like required spark arrestors, but I've never been checked. They do check your passes though, so be sure to have one on your ride. I just pick mine up on the way at the closest gas station. Let me know if there are other dates that would work better.

Well Zach, Kevin and I will be there for sure. I guess we will pick the passes up down there as well. It would be nice if i had the x done by then but i doubt it. So ill be riding one of his. lol. That weekend would be great for me seeing that th e8th is my b-day woo hoo good excuse to get a babysitter. lol

I am stoked. I am pretty sure i will be off on that weekend, and can't wait to get together with you guys. I might have my 86 250R by then but will probably bring the X.

It appears that you cannot make reservations at the Cobb Ridge site online. I'm going to call down there this week and see if reservations are possible by phone. I think there is a 2-night minimum for the weekends though.

I still need to call... But what would you guys think about having a bonfire at my house on Saturday night? Then we wouldn't need to camp out, unless it was just in the yard, hehe.

Well, sounds like we can camp out at my house then the local guys could just as easily go home. We can also have a little bonfire Sat night if the weather cooperates.

I think kryten and jfaulkner will be down here Fri night. We'll ride all day Saturday. Sunday will just depend on when everyone wants to head out and how we feel after riding all day Sat, haha.

Sounds good, i` have tryouts that just popped up on the 7th and 8th. I told them I would be gone one day just wasn't sure which one. Saturday was the best day for me so it will work out fine.Can't wait!

Well. The ride is in 1-2 days. Hope everyone can make it. We'll probably show up at Chadwick between 9 and 10 Saturday morning. I plan on eating lunch and snacks there, then stopping someplace 'nice' for dinner. And after that, we'll have a good-sized bonfire at my parents' place. If the weather's decent for the bonfire, I'll invite my girlfriend and you guys can feel free to invite your ladies as well. Afterward, you local guys can head home, and the traveling people can stay at my parents' place before heading out Sunday morning. Let me know what works and what doesn't. See you there!

No doubt on the rock climbing, we should have all rented mountain goats! They would have been right at home on that first trail. Chain off, skid plate off, flat tire, lost phone, down the hillside, I had a hell of a day! Not to mention burning the clutch out of my other X the night before our ride.

All i have to say is that i may not be able to spend a bunch of money on really nice trikes. but i sure can get decent ones and put them together. lol. and fungo ill keep that in mind, but im sure to buy a 350x would cost way too much for me for a while. lol
