My lill'bro (26) just pulled a free Tri-Z out of a relitives barn/scrap yard. The thing has been sitting covered for who knows how long but after checking and fluids were full (radiator and crank) it started right up!
The BAD/Need
1.full pastics needed
2.missing gas tank
3.spindels and wheels front and rear.
4.Air box.

Any help would be greatly appreciated along with any advice on how or how not to get this thing up and screaming agian. Will post pics when I get them up loaded.(some one may need to advise on how to post a pic on here.)

Great find. Just got another 86 250r. Sitting in a barn without a motor since the early 90s. The rebuild has began like yours and it will be fun. Congrats again

Looks to be a very solid start, best of luck. Most of my finds were in barns, my 200E was hub deep in cow droppings.

Going to do a functions test, swaping over what is needed from working TriZ to do a "around the block run". Want to make sure there is no over heating issues and that the trans is good. With it sitting on the floor and rusty chain and shot clutch cable we can only get 4 gears. It idles but all we had was about 50cc of fuel to a primed carb so want to see how it "rolls" before we tear in to this thing.

IF any one wants to throw in thier 2cents on a TriZ resto our ears are open. Do's, dont's... Found out about the faulty wanter pump. so if anyone has anything else that we should know please share! IE: factory boost bottle, keep or toss? We want factory or better
