Oregon doesn't have a thread? Really? Ok, well I live less than 6 miles from Huckleberry Flats, which is an Oregon Parks ATV park with over 30 miles of trails, and is in the cascades. There is also 2 dune parks on the Ocean and others in Oregon, besides the millions of acres of BLM, National Forest, and State land u can ride on legally.

Good point.

There's also something special about the 42 square miles of sand dunes at the Oregon coast from Florence to Coos Bay. Like riding on a 3 dimensional cloud.

Huckleberry is usually mentioned along with shotgun creek but I haven't made it to either.

Rideatvoregon.org actually has an online safety test and will mail you a genuine plastic license card in the mail for free.

Oregon also accepts the national boating safety operators permits. (I think)

Very friendly state for out of state visitors.

Thinking this year it is mandatory for anyone under 40 years old BTW unless you have some sort of safety cert from your home state.

10$ off road permits are avail at almost any bike / off road shop.

I'll have to check out huckleberry flats some time. I'm just north of Coos Bay, in the heart of the dunes (No, I swear I'm not bragging! )
