Knobby or Directional front tire-Big Red 250

I'm getting some Mudlite's for the rear. On the front now I have a tight small knobby pattern. I also have a good larger pattern knobby and a directional tire. What would be best? I'm thinkin the directional cause it'd kinda match the Mudlites. This is for my '85 Big Red 250. Thanks, Matt.

I have mud lites on the rear and a cheng shin knobby on the front. I really like it, front grabs well on turns, but who knows, maybe something would be better??

I have Mudlites on all 3 corners of my 85 BR... Love them... I dont find having a directional front to be any negative issue, but find that it does pull the front out of muddy ruts really well. I vote Lites on all 3!

I'm leaning toward the Tracker P. If it doesn't fit my SX it might fit the new to me 250 Big Red I now have.

I just got back from the goodies store. I ordered two Mudlites for the rear. Thay won't be in till Monday or Tuesday. Gives me time to paint the wheels. Whatcha guys usin as far as color goes. I want close to oem silver as possible.

I'll probably have em mount the directional tire for the front. If I don't like it I can always get another Mudlite. Thanks.

the tracker p is what Polaris uses on their older ATV's they are good in light mud but that's it.

The right rear is the directional one I am considering. The left rear is the larger pattern knobbie.

If you flip that directional onto the front, the V is going to be going the wrong direction... (dont know if it bothers you or not...) Some guys think it helps keep the front tire from pulling, I am not so sure... I have all 3 of my mudlites pawing the correct direction, and have never noticed it to pull or wander at all...

I have 3 Mudlites on my 85 BR. It does fine, but if I had it to do again I would put a knobby on the front.
If you ride deep snow you will notice the weakness of a directional. It is great in mud, but snow.... Not so much.

Hmm, I'm building thit Big Red for icefishing, so I'll be in the snow alot. I live on a big lake that gets it's share of drifts. I'm gonna keep that rear knobby for just in case.

Mine is in the snow all winter, MN representing! Ice fishing and pushing the plow... My mudlites do great... Drags myself, my clam pop up and auger and all my crap (weighing in around 150 lbs) all over, through deep snow and up hills at the cabin... I was very impressed with how well they did... (no chains)
