Just picked up a 1991 CR250. Needs a little tuning but this thing is FAST! Way faster than my TRI-Z, when that power hits it HITS. I hope I dont hurt myself. I know this is in the wrong section but bikersville doesnt seem to get alot of activity.

i got a lil while ago a 89 cr250. just dragged my brother on his 98 rm125.you know what won. i still think my z would smoke my cr though.they are quick but i cant keep both wheels on the ground

i have an 89 cr 250 i bought for 100 bucks and restored its in nice shape but the engine needs 600 bucks worth of stuff i think im gonna get my 200x going first

got to agree with dcreel. you want power and speed get a tecate. why do i get the feeling we are gong to relive the whole tecate - 250r comparison now? not knocking the r, but you want to feel real power and speed you have to ride a t3. and comparing a dirtbike to a trike is two different worlds. like a crotchrocket vs a harley.

So are you guys saying that the T3 is comparable in power to the CR? Or just alot faster than the Z? Code200K, my TRI-Z runs awesome and is tuned very good and It feels as if this CR pulls 2x as hard. Today I'm going to adjust the float level and put the stock 55 pilot jet in it, somebody put a 42 pilot in it for some reason. I still have to adjust the power valves but need to find out how.

you cant compare the power of a dirtbike to the power of a trike!! totally different rides. however, yes i am saying a tecate is faster then a z, stock to stock.

Well I just checked the reeds and they are shot. One of the bottom ones is cracked and has a small peice broke off. So I'll be ordering some today.

Are you sure it doesn't say PSI going down the pipe vertically? PSI was an old school company in the 80's.

i recall PSI being the main aftermarket exhaust systems to put on a Polaris sled back in the triple hey-days of the 90s....didnt know they were into bikes as well...interesting!

Ya, its gotta be a PSI. I did a little digging and the pipe is a mid-high range pipe with a hard hit and long pull. And with the little time I've ridden it thats exactly what it does, but couldnt get the full performance due to a broke and cracked reed. Put the right pilot in it yesterday and totally cleaned and adjusted the carb. Just waiting for the new reeds to come in. It should really rip. I have to get a new bearing for the bottom of the rear shock and tighten the chain a little.

Did a little messin around with it today. Put on new exhaust pipe seal, re-packed the silencer, High-temp RTV'd the pipe to silencer connection, adjusted the chain, lubed up some stuff, and got a new cylinder to reed cage gasket. Just waiting on my new reeds to come in so I can put it back together and see how it runs.
