My brother challenged me to a mud contest. I have a 1982 honda 185s that is going to have fox a/t's on it and the rest is stock. My brother has a 1978 honda 90 that has fox a/t's and a cobra exhaust, the rest of the machine is stock. Whose machine do you guys think will go farther?

Enough debate. S*@$ or get off the pot. Find a mud hole, bring you camera/camcorder, and let's get this show down going!!!!! P.S. Loser has to buy the beer and get the stuck trikes out!!!!!

well, let me put some of my experience to it. there are 2 types of mud (well more than 2 but) stuff thats slippery and stuff thats gunky. the slippery stuff will create wheel spin then traction will be lost.
if its slippery mud the 90 will win because it has less power to spin its wheels and it will putts threw (like in snow, flooring it does worse than keeping wheel spin down.) better because its smaller and lighter.

if its gunky mud, the mud will stick to the tires rendering no traction. the only way to fix this is to spin the tires fast to fling the mud off and gain traction and "power threw". therefore the 185 will win.
also it depends on rider style (what techniques used to get threw the mud, and who is heavier? heavy is good for slippry mud but bad for gunky mud)
i have had my 110 go threw more than a 250sx just because his method was going all out and that just got him stuck, as i just putted right by. but in deep stuff his power was able to fling mud away and haul forward while i couldn't.

also who has more ground clearance? idk how high the axle is on a 185. what about tire pressure? flatter tire will get better traction but less ground clearance, find the right balance for the conditions of the mud.

im hoping the 90 wins cause i always root for my family (90s, 110, 125m)

KEEP YOUR ARSE ON THE BACK OF THE BIKE, THAT WAY THE FRONT TIRE FLOATS OVER THE MUD AND THE REAR TIRES HAVE WEIGHT FOR TRACTION
