I purchased all new cables for my Big Red. As it was - I did not have a hand brake hooked up to the rear brakes - but now I do. Does anyone know where I can buy the spring that goes on the end of the cable (on the brake side - cable return spring or what ever it is called???)? Beatrice cycle does not list them - just not sure where to look. They never come with new cables.

i just used two split washers and a spring i bought from the hardware store

hmmmmmmm - never thought about a hardware store for springs. I will check it out - good thinking outside of the box HRD!

yea,i put the washers on the outsides and the spring in the middle of the two washers and closed the split with plyers

Yep, hardware store, Home Depot, or Lowe's for springs. Try CheapCycleParts.com or Bike Bandit, also.
