1st gen 200x swingarm swap?'s

I have a '83 tubular style swingarm on my 1st gen 200x. I have a '84 '85 square style swingarm, bearings, what looks to be a spacer and shock linkage. I would like to put the square one on my x cause I think it looks better. Direct swap?

Was thinkin about stretching the square swingarm 2 inches before I paini it and put it on. Any advantages or disadvantages to this?

Yeah it's a direct swap. You use the linkage with the 84-85 swinger and you don't use it with the 83.

As for stretching it, I have no experience with that.

I'm with rdlsz24 on that one too. Me and my son Onnie just did the opposite, 83' swinger on 84' frame last week.
