Hi,I found these parts in a ad who said "homebuildtrike".
It hade no engine and a cut up frame after previus owner had tried to install a 4cyl engine.
I could see on the suspension it was a tecate -86.I hade to save it,Kawasaki never sold these trikes in Sweden

Luckily i have keept an old frame frame from a kx 250mx ,never trow anything away it might come in handy
Got and kx 500 engine complet, exhaust, coolers, cdi, carb, for cheap.
To bad its an -85,parts are hard to get.But it fits very well in the frame,
I am useing the downtubes from the kx250mx frame and the upper parts is tecate

The top pichtures are a coupel of monts old,its now on wheels, and near complet
The only thing in god shape on this bike was the seatcover:wondering, fenders where junk.
Luckily oem plastics is still outthere.
Frame is welded, engine is in.Where i drive its important to keep the sound level down but the oem silencer is gone. Therefore i use two kx 250 silencer,it helps and looks mean:naughty:

What's up with the little home made looking Yamaha? Can we get a better look at the dual pipes on both bikes? Nice work, VMAXSWEDE!!!!!!!

I am looking at a KXT500 build myself. Was wondering more details on expansion chamber mods/fitment. What year parts did you use and how did you get it to fit?

Thanks evreybody,
I have the trikes at a remote place right now, pichtures will have to wait sorry,
I did find clutch plates (8) over here
The blue one is made from a bicyckelframe and square tubing and some sheetmetal, has gokart rims a 70cc scooter engine a trick aluminium fueltank from a chainsaw.
Has yamaha stickers to make it look factory made but i will paint it green during winter time and put on some kawi stickers on it. Pichtures will come then
Made a big presentbox and gave it to my son on his 3birthday.He hade a quick look at it and went over to next present and found a soccerball ,the ball was much more fun:wondering lol

The kx 500 exhaust camber is a -85 and it fits very well around the radiator shroud,i only hade to cut and angle the last section/stinger,
The mounts for fuel tank and coolers where missing on my frame, you may have to lift the tank to clear the pipe.

We had a local "jetskiday" and i did bring the tecate and place it next to the dealer tent for display.
It got a lot of attension ,many youth has never seen a 3wheeler and thougt it was a newmodel from kawasaki
