'85 250sx wire harness on an '86 250es?????

The wire harness on my 86 250es seems to be shot to hell. Some wires have heat damage and i can't get any spark. Scoped out ebay and there's a harness for a 85 250sx listed for a decent price. It's hard to judge by the picture but according to the seller it'll work on an 85 and 86 250sx and 250es. In the picture the rectifier/regulator seems to have different plugs than what I have. Just want to see if anyone knows for sure before I purchase something I can't use

I don't think they will, be 100% the same.

Download both wiring diagrams or check the part numbers..........

Don't think they are the same,the 250es have power accessory outupt and connector under the light are differents.i think I have a ES wiring harness in my parts,if interrested.

if your usign the entire sx harness and allt he elctricals just to amke it run yes if your looking for the taillights and the headlight and all that crap to plug in then no.

Thanks guys, that's what I figured. By looking at the picture I could tell things didn't look right. I found another harness for a little more than the original harness I lost a bid on. Should be here in a few days
