UPDATE: Didn't need to make any tools, just bought a set of giant allen headed sockets. Used the 17 mm on both sides and the rear end is off the frame...Didn't need any castle nut remover??
Looks like crap, but I haven't found any nice ones for under $1000, so I'm going to strip and paint the frame, extract broken bolts, TRX300 engine swap, my extra brand new 25" wide mudding tires, then recover the seat with marine vinyl.
It won't be the prettiest without fenders, but the racks will be rhino lined/some truck bed liner, and the frame painted, maybe stainless bolts, everything with anti seize and all rust cleaned.

My problem is removing the rear end, the swingarm bolt seems to use two giant allen keys, maybe the equivalent to a 14mm bolt? Is this correct, or is there some special tool for doing it?
Thanks

From what I remember from SX swingarm, the pivot needed a 17mm allen key but I used the 17mm bolt holding the shock absorber the remove it.
Maybe you'll also need another tool to remove the locknut. I made myself one with a 1 1/8 socket and using a dremel.
Heres the Honda tool

Thanks, might be 17mm as I saw that on a thread on another forum for a similar quad while searching. I was going to use a bolt's head to fit into it, maybe I loosen/remove the 17mm allen head locknut on each side, then a regular bolt behind it?

It's a 17 mm allen head. my local hardware store had an allen wrench to fit for like $12. Then all you need is a soft punch to back off the lock nut.

I tried the 17mm allen wrench, and even a 17mm bolt welded and I couldn't get it. What I have done on the past 3 swingarms is find a cold chisel which has a head thats a little bigger than the 17mm hole. Pound it in all the way and put a big pipe wrench on the octagonal? handle of the chisel. Worked every time for me and with the chisel a bit bigger, it doesn't strip the bolts !

Loosen the lock nut with a punch and then I have a piece of 3/4 hex stock I use to loosen it AND HEAT!!
Once water gets in this stuff it's very stubborn to remove......

Thanks for the tip DC, going to become good friends with the blowtorch to get this thing going....lucky the engine bolts all came out easier than expected with an impact driver.
Tires: Titan AT589 M/T, have seen them a bit cheaper, like $85 a piece, but I got 4 BRAND NEW, all on nice wheels, for $150. So I'm happy with them. Skinny ones are on my SX, wider rear ones are waiting to go on the Big Red.

Make your own... I made this one in 20 minutes... it worked on 2 so far with no problems. I used a 1 1/8" socket with a sharpie and an angle grinder.
