ok. I really need help-please. This is a peculiar problem. I have this basketcase 125m,- I rebuilt the top end for someone. He had some guys tamper with it before me. I dont know what they did besides beat the thing all over with a hammer. Anyway,- It had original piston and rings. it was spewing, spitting, & spraying oil out the exhaust! & of course lots and lots of blue smoke! and ran like crap. well,- after the rebuild it doesnt burn or spit any oil at all. It starts first pull and runs very well. Changed clutch discs and springs. I rebuilt the carb too. However -after it runs a few minutes (gets warmed up) it will start smoking- but its a white gassy smell. Definitely not oil.-i know pretty well how that smells when it burns.. Again-it only starts doing it only after a few minutes of running around. Its a good amount at idle too. It did have a 35 pilot jet in it initially that was clogged to hell. (Couldnt unclog it) It now has a 38 pilot- thats what all the carb kits come with. What could it be. It runs perfect now but?:wondering. oh yeah,-Its not the fuel either.

I second this. Had a similar issue on a dirt bike ages ago, I cleared mine up by simply running it alot that day to burn off that oil. I'm sure there are other ways but it's what worked for me.

Yeap, run it balls to the walls for a bit to burn it off, OR get the pipe steam cleaned somehow.

I thought about that. But it doesnt look or smell like oil- so i aint sure Also,it doesnt seem to get better- although havent run it all that much. But youre right in that there has to be residual oil trapped in the stock exhaust -silencer part. Could never get the baffle out. There was alot of oil runnin thru there i can tell you that. In liquid form, and in form of smoke! Oddly,- I intentionally hung the the exhaust vertical for weeks too while i worked on it and nothing dripped out. But theres definetly has to be some residue in there. Thanks for the replies. I feel better now.
