well it seems alot of people are obsessed with tire choice, as am I. I recently got a little yamaha 4-moto quad with super narrow kinda bald tires and its just a ball sliding around with that.
so i was thinking maybe putting some lawn mower tires on my 110 could be fun for getting the rear to slide around. has anyone ever tied a lawn mower or any other non aggressive tire on a trike (low powered trike preferably)? is the idea of it better than how it really works? I have an extra set of steel rims and i was thinking maybe some 20 inch lawn mower tires from Kenda would be a fun way to mess around the yard.

I once had a big red with studded 35'' tires on the back.... I only had it for a few days in the winter and then got rid of the pos.

studded 35 inch tires are quite different than 20 inch lawn mower tires...pretty much exact opposite.
anyone?

They would pretty much limit you to the road and yard. They would also probably puncture easily.

I say go for it for sure, especially if it's on a set of spare wheels. I think you would have a blast sliding around.
I put 20" tires on one of my 110's when I was a kid and I couldn't believe how different it rode. Granted, they weren't lawn tractor tires. They were ATV tires, but it was still a blast. It used to climb hills better, wheelie better, slide better. It was a blast.
DO IT!!!!!!!!

yeah, they would be used for exactly that (dirt road). they would just be mess around tires on a spare set of rims i could put on whenever.
my neighbor has those lawn mower tires on his lawn mower and we like to mess around with it (see pic below) and they get no traction at all. and im thinking on my 110 that should have 10-12 HP when its done should get them to brake loose no problem. maybe i can take my lawn mower tires off to test it out (i could swap rims real quick) and see if it would be worth the money.

We used to run lawn mower tires for flat track when we didnt have enough cash for Hoosiers (early 80's)

I had lawn mower tires on my 110 as a kid and my buddy had stockers on his. We would switch sometimes because who ever had the lawn mower tires was the quickest. They do fine on all types of trails. Of course not made for mud. Do it and you will not go back to stockers. It looks cool too. I have run them on a 200x and a 185 from time to time.

I'd say if you wanted a decent set of tires for sliding would be the duro hf 245. Like fabio said alotof stuff becomes easier, haha. And although these tires slide easy the deep tread makes them hook up excellent i the straight line. I know their not lawn mower tires but there a good option.

I was thinking about doing the same thing with my 200x. If you do it let me know how it works out. I also have a small pitster bike that the rims look like they would bolt right up to the 200x, there about 18" and road tires.

i love the trike! looks awesome!
well guys i totally forgot...im swapping my hubs for some wider 300ex hubs so that i can get aluminum rims....so the "extra" set wont fit because they are stock. I plan on buying a set of aluminum rims for sand dunes and big rides. (already have 1, i just bent the other in a crash) maybe if steels are cheap ill buy 2 pair. my tire set up will be Carlisle strykers 22-11-9 for my trails up north, mud, and every day heavy duty use (already own them), maxxis 4-snows for sand dunes and snow, and then im thinking some type of cheap lawn tire for messing around the neighbor hood and sliding around the yard.
im not sure if i want to put the sand tires or the lawn tires on the aluminum set. i got alot of choices to think threw.
