View Full Version : 110 octane ... Vp ??

Bought a 86 250r a week er so back and the previous owner was running 110 ocatne fuel .. Never thought to ask if it was vp er something else ??? Does vp even make a 110 octane ?? And wheather they do or not , where can i purchase that or another 110 octane fuel ?? Looking for a good local place where i can pick it up anytime or just by simply ordering it online .. Didnt come up with much by searchin google ... Anyone have any ideas ???

dont know if they carry 110 but i looked this up recently. there is a place in paterson that carries race fuel:

unless it's a higher compression motor, as harryred asked , you will actually loose power and alot of money running the 110. and yes VP does make a 110, it is simply called VP-110. runs about $13 a gallon

Yeah no need for 110 unless you have very high compression, other than than there is absolutely to power gain with race gas. Now methonal and oxy fuel is a different story.

oh okay thanks for clearing that up for me guys.. and i'm not sure what the compression is on her ... i havent checked yet, but like i said the previous owner was running it , maybe he didn't know any better, or maybe in fact the motor is a little suped up.. it does run really fast ..i'll have to check the compression when i get a chance ... what would be considered high compression ??
