--Differences between 86 & 87 200X???

I am looking to buy an '87 200X. I used to have one when I was in high school and can't believe I sold it for $300. Now that I know there were only 3,000+ made. So anyway I want to buy another in the worst way but wanna make sure I know the differences between the 86 and 87. Help me out. Thanks.

tank fin color,decals,trans gears, kicker shaft size, tire tread
and as far as i know thats it

Ok cool. I knew the decals were but I didn't know if there was something that was able to be checked to know it was an '87 and not an '86 say if the decals were gone or aftermarket fenders were on it.

Doesnt the 87 have a key ignition?

the 87 motor is all black while the cylinder fins on the 86 are machined on 2 sides.

The most obvious difference is the keyed ignition. All the other stuff listed should be obvious also.

3rd gear ratio has changed.

Clutch internal pivot is modified.

Clutch cover is opened up for a larger kicker shaft, larger seal.

Oil orifices are modified.
