Hazleton ride on October 10th [Archive]

I was wondering if anyone was interested in doing a ride on Sunday October 10th. I was thinking of hitting an area I have riden before in Hazleton/Beaver meadows area. I havent been up there since the spring, but a buddy of mine has been going up alot over the summer and said the riding is still good.

Sent you a PM on the ride. The SX is beggin for a good ride. It's funny you just posted this, I was poking around last night to see if anyone had any upcoming rides posted. Thanks. I'll check the schedule and post up for sure, but it's almost guarenteed yes.

I sent you a message on FB but I just wanted to confirm here that I am in. I know you said to keep it to one guest but I'd like to invite two since chances are at least one will back out. We'll all be in one vehicle so it won't be a bunch of trucks rolling up.

What time are we looking at Tom?

I'm going to try to get time to tune the X a little but if not I'll bring the 4x4. My cousin is coming on his Polaris 2x4 my buddy with his UTV. I told him he might not be able to do all the stuff but he said he's OK with just cruising around the open areas.

Both my "guests" bailed. :rolleyes: It would have been nice to have known that a few days earlier but at least I have 4 days to try to round up some other people to split the fuel with.

What a ride today. Great weather, and good people to ride with. If it wasnt for all the breakdowns it would have been perfect. Still a great day of riding.

Thanks for putting this together Tom. It was definitely the day that wasn't meant to be. I'm going to head up there once more before the really cold weather hits and hopefully we can get together and explore some of the terrain by the power lines. It sucked that just as we were starting to check that area out my ball joints let go.

The ball joints and a new shock are on order for the 4x4. Looking forward to doing a scaled down ride for an "exploratory mission" before the really cold weather hits. I may just come out with the 350X anyways.

It was nice meeting everyone. Maybe next time I'll be able to do more riding. It got old real fast having to turn the gas on and off to keep it from pissing out the carb.

cool pics looks like you guys had a good time will have to try and make it out the next time.

Been going over to Treverton PA alot lately It's just over the hill from Line Mountian where JohnR and I raced the trikes in the spring. We could have a ride there on a sunday. FUn place to ride there with the huge hills and seeing all the people beating on there big lifted trucks. We seen a F350 crew cab and a explorer with Rockwells and tractor tires cruising around getting pulled out by a deuce and a half when they got stuck.

Hey guys, I would love to join in on a hazelton area ride or tamaqua area ride. I know tamaqua coal regions really well. However, I do not know hazelton very well. I would like to see if we could get another ride ready. All I need to run my 86200x is the tank back from the body shop, which will be tomarrow.

Ok Sunday the 20th is fine with me! Lets rip it up! I finally got my tank out of the body shop. It is 100 percent restored to new. I will post pictures once I get home from work. Anyone else may join as well as bring some friends.
