250 big red timing tensioner

im needing to know how to adjust the timing tensioner on my big red. i hear a little rattle and i figure that there's a way to do it. i see the tensioner on the engine but im lost

It's an automatic spring loaded tensioner.

You'll need a set of feeler gauges (00.51), a 10mm wrench, a small flathead screwdriver, and I forget what size wrench for the caps, it's 15/16ths for my 84, not sure on my 85.
