Just wondering what you guys and girls...(don't if there's any on here) would value one that's mint. Thanx

As a buyer, I would gladly pay 100 bux for a mint 250r if given the chance. :)

One persons mint might mean total'd to another person around here. LOL. I would say EASILY $1500 minimum for a stock first gen that is truly "mint". If it has rare aftermarket goodies on it, the price goes way up from there. Also, there will be the classic responses "its worth whatever the buyer is willing to pay" which is true too...

Well.I know aroung here. That is EXACTLY what it's worth! Whatever the 2 of you, buyer and seller decide. I seriously believe it should be worth $10000,but that's reserved for cars! But a rare piece indeed. I have one,,but it's not for sale,,,,what do they want for it?

We'll I was just curious to see the response. The reason why is I just bought the nicest 1982 I've ever laid eyes on. For $1000. The only thing that i see right off the bat that is not true to the bike is a full dg exhaust. Anyway I'll post some pics tonight or tomorrow. So you all can disect it for me.

1000-1500$ in this economy......

My ceiling was $1000 on it. dude was asking $1200 so I was able to shave a little off. Pics tomorrow. Worth every penny to me as this was the first trike I ever purchased back in the day and still have my lectron powerjet carb with boost bottle too. and if the 84 250r front end will bolt on I'll be doing that as well.

Now keep in mind there has been no restoration work done to the bike. And don't mind the purple cooler, I'll be painting that to match the bike or removing it all together. Let's see some pics of other members 1981 1982.

Pretty sweet. Why do those always have a small tire on the front? Does it look smaller because of the balloonish tires on the back?

The tires will be the first things to go in favor of some smaller shredders/holeshots. Had those on my old air cooled and they dug in nice.

That is a very nice trike, but I wouldn't call it pristine. Definitely worth what you paid though. Here's mine-

Somebody else started a very similar thread last week. It never really took off- http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php?118913-1981-82-honda-250r-s-let-s-see-some-pics......&p=914318&highlight=#post914318

I was contemplating buying an 82 R a couple weeks back. It was a $400 project bike that "just needed finished," and "only needed a few parts," in the CL listing, but the more I talked to the guy the more he kept remembering stuff it needed so I passed lol

That's a very nice 82. If it is in fact, mostly unrestored. You have without question, one of the nicest unrestored first gens on this forum. I'd put a oem size tire on front and enjoy that machine with careful use in the dunes. Looks great next to the liquid R.. As for price, you did outstanding considering how difficult they are to locate, let alone in that shape.

You got a great deal on that one! I'd have been all over that deal. Put a smooth buff on the front and paddles on the rear. Get one of those old school red and white coolers to put in that rack.

It came with a set of chrome rims with paddles to sweetin the deal lol.

Nice find. The DG pipe is a bonus IMO. I remember seeing a new 250R in the Honda showroom when I got my '81 ATC185S. My dad said NO to the 250R, but if more parents had said "NO!" in '85-'86, we might still have new ATC's to choose from. I won't beat that dead horse, though...

Well the price most of the time depends on that originality of it.
