I dont have a pic, but in a pinch, I have used some air filter foam for a lawnmower - the oval shape - for an air filter on a 185s. I wrapped it around the screen thing in the airbox, and used zip-ties to hold it on, and sprayed it with no-toil filter oil. I think the total cost for the foam was $2.50. What I just remembered is that its still on there today, and that was a couple years ago. lol.

Installing a 83-85 200X shock spring on my 86 X. It's a perfect fit and is much stiffer than the 86-87 rear shock spring. Great for MX riding or heavier riders..

I did some thing similar with my son's 200x. Won't pay $30 for a piece of foam at the cycle shop, so I took some hvac charcol filter and wrapped it around the canister and end and now a charcol filter. Also fabbed up an adjustable dogbone to lower my Tecate, not done with it, but on a dad-with-kids budget and 4-5 trikes have to watch the $.

One of my favorites is using electrolysis to remove rust and often times old paint, it can save you a bunch of money and time. Its a great way to determine if you have a pile of rusted junk or if their is still some steel left to work with, it is also great to clean metal before welding. If you have never heard of the process check out the youtube video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8vT2mdXBs8 their are a bunch of websites on the subjects so check them out.
