I am going through the suspension on my 350x and was wandering if I should use the standard fork boots or go with the seal saver kind. Here are examples of what I am talking about: Seal saver type:

Standard boots:

I have never used the seal saver type, but I hear they are good. The trike almost is alway's in the sand or desert, very rarely see's mud (we don't get much of that rain stuff here). I have not had any issues with the standard boot's, but I kind of like the look of the fork saver's. Thanks for the input in advance.

Honestly, I dont like seal savers. Especially in sand.

For one they dont protect the fork tubes at all above the saver. So IF a rock flys up, you have a ding in your tube which will cause a leak.

Sand gets everywhere and I can see that stuff going right through the seal savers.

seal savers are a nice add on for bikes but on a trike epecially where they dont have inverted forks the sand may get under them and scar the tubes unless you are constantly cleaning under them.
go for the boots.

i'd go with regular boots.those may be fine for street bikes but not down and dirty trikes

I remember on my 86 tecate i had these little sweeps about 2 inchs tall that latched on were the bottom of the boots were held. Ive got a 86 250r now and i would like to take the boots off to make it more of a vintage racer. are there any sweeps that i can put on my 250r.
