got a honda 70 atc

ok picked up a 84 honda 70 yesterday. cranked it and it only runs if you choke it. cleaned carb and does same. seems you can hear it backfire through top end.

Did you make sure you got both jets real cleaned ? The little 70's don't run well unless they have sufficient intake back pressure so check all the rubber boots at the filter area and a good filter . Should check the points also as they give similar symptoms as the carb .

I noticed that pop on mine also.. I had to adjust the idle air screw. I actually had to turn it in just until the machine wanted to die. Then turned it out a 1/8 to 1/4 turn. The pop on my machine went away.

yea mine did the same for a while adjusted the idle screw and replaced the fuel filter works like a charm

ok got all the breather hooked up and still back fire through carb.
