got an 82" 185S my dad said the noise i am hearing is the cam chain. He showed me what he thought was the tensioner on the left hand side of the case under a rubber plug but said he wasnt sure how it adjusted. Any help would be appreciated thanks

just did my 83 200 atc. take that rubber plug off, take the 10mm bolt out, loosen the 14mm. let it idle for a little bit and the noise goes right away. Tighten everything back up.

If it doesn't quiet down I usually take the flywheel off and check out the whole tensioner. They can get stuck, bind etc etc.
